Canadian hemp producer buys stake in marketing, branding firm

A Vancouver hemp producer is buying a stake in a marketing and branding company that specializes in cannabis.

Global Hemp Group announced Friday that it is buying a 50 percent equity interest in Cash Crop Today Media.

Global Hemp Group will pay $150,000 for the stake, including $60,000 in cash and the issuance of 600,000 common shares to the media company.

In a statement, Global Hemp Group said “there is a clear demand for investment information” about cannabis.

Global Hemp is headquartered in Vancouver with base operations in Montreal and Los Angeles.

It trades on the Canadian Securities Exchange as GHG.
