A $9 million dispute between a hemp farm and an Oregon CBD processor has been dismissed after a federal judge ruled the case was in the wrong court.
Third Wave Farms was disputing a $9 million claim from Pure Valley Solutions over a contract for the processing and production of a winterized CBD oil.
In March 2020, Third Wave asked the court to relieve it of the contract “in light of the spread of the coronavirus.”
But Third Wave declared bankruptcy before the matter could be settled. U.S. District Judge Robert E. Wier suggested the dispute should be settled in Oregon.
Law 360 first reported on the case’s dismissal.
