Chewable hemp brand chooses tobacco exec to accelerate growth

A California company that makes chewable hemp has chosen a former tobacco executive to help its expansion efforts.

Jen Pike joins Boldt Runners Corp., makers of Cannadips chewable hemp, as chief revenue officer.

Pike was vice president at U.S. Smokeless Tobacco/Altria, where she oversaw the Skoal brand of smokeless tobacco.

Also Friday, Boldt Runners named former GE/Genworth executive Richard Kannan as chief financial officer.

Pike said in a statement that she expects big growth in the smokeless cannabis sector.

“All of the bones for growth are here,” she said.

Boldt Runners is privately held and sells smokeless hemp in more than 5,000 stores nationwide.
