Curaleaf is latest CBD maker to ink deal with national alcohol distributor

Massachusetts-based Curaleaf Holdings announced Tuesday that it signed a national distribution agreement for its CBD products with Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, the world’s largest distributor of beverage alcohol.

The deal could bring Curaleaf Hemp and Select CBD products to 44 states.

Southern Glazer’s already distributes CBD products including Martha Stewart CBD and Quatreau CBD beverages, both owned by Canada’s Canopy Growth Corp.

Curaleaf praised Southern Glazer’s “unmatched route-to-market capabilities” and said the deal could ultimately include beverages and candies made with minor cannabinoids such as CBN and CBG.

The company did not divulge where its hemp-based CBD products distributed by Southern Glazer’s would be sold.

Curaleaf also makes THC-infused beverages that aren’t part of the Southern Glazer’s deal.
