Former Walmart executive to head up two divisions for CBD processor

Neptune Wellness Solutions, a Laval, Quebec-based hemp processor and CBD manufacturer, has appointed a former Walmart executive to head up its Biodroga business unit and recently formed Health and Wellness Innovation Division as senior vice president.

Robert DiPede brings a track record of more than 20 years driving business-to-consumer and business-to-business sales of consumer packaged goods (CPG) and health and wellness products, including national retail chains, food and drug mass retailers and e-commerce.

Before joining Neptune Wellness Solutions, DiPede served as director of territory and global export sales at Walmart, leading a team of sales professionals in domestic, global and e-commerce sales delivering $1 billion in revenue.

DiPede will drive sales for existing and new products developed by Neptune’s new health and wellness innovation division and Biodroga, a division purchased in 2016 that provides functional ingredients and product formulation services to external North American brands in the health and wellness industry, as well as Neptune’s branded CPG products.
