The legal battle between the U.S. arm of Canadian cannabis giant Canopy Growth and a Nevada-based hemp producer appears to be over.
Canopy’s filing to dismiss came a month after Go Farm Hemp’s initial lawsuit against the Ontario, Canada-based company for allegedly failing to pay some advance money was dismissed by a New York court.
The dismissals do not necessarily mean the disputes are over because the two parties could still file additional lawsuits.
Canopy says it is using hemp to access U.S. cannabis markets. The company recently launched a line of hemp-derived softgels, oil drops and creams.
Canopy trades on the New York Stock Exchange as CGC and the Toronto Stock Exchange as WEED.
