    Can you (or anyone) help me understand why hemp is at .3% THC and marihuana is anything .30001% or higher? Where did this number come from? Is this a good thing or a bad thing?

      It’s an arbitrary number that the US government decided was an “acceptable” level of THC to not have psychoactive effects. Therefore defining below .3% as “Hemp”. Other countries have defined it at different percentages- some more, some less.
